A Writer on Writing by Sally Jenkins

Writing magazines, of which there are many, are packed with advice for writers at all levels. Often that advice can be a little overwhelming but this book is perfectly formed to feed the brain with digestible bites.

Sally writes with the experience of a published writer. But she hasn't forgotten how hard it is for a new writer to make that first step. Each article subtly informs without patronising.

From sourcing ideas to making time to write, Sally covers it all. Articles include quotes from other writers, all sharing their experiences that offer the unpublished writer a glimmer of hope.

Both fiction and non-fiction are covered, but much of the advice is universal. If you've yet to be published, then this is an excellent collection to inspire. And for the published writer? Some excellent tips to keep you on track and focused.
